Just too add I too would struggle with the not knowing. Private scans are expensive, rightly or wrongly but I too would prob exaggerate things to get a scan on NHS tomorrow eg say it had been worse and that I was experiencing pain on one side low down overnight, even say you unsure of dates etc.

I can't believe dr didn't refer you to EPU. I know in Sussex they won't let you go till 6wks but you're passed that so that can't be the issue. If you go to A&E though they will deff refer you. good luckxx

If its anything like round here, the dr won't refer you to epu until your 7wks+. Thats what they did with my cousin. She had a bleed at 6wks+ and 9wks+ but all is well now

The fact that it is brownish in colour rather than red and the fact there is no 'pain' sounds positive though. Rest up and just see what dr says tomorrow.

it sounds like a good sign to me that you have stopped bleeding and its brown.
I had bleeding twice with hannah. also a girl in my work had quite heavy bleeding at the start of her pregnancy. she has just given birth to her little boy.

I think you should still push for your scan if it will put your mind at rest xxxxx

I went into the doctors all ready for a fight, and she just picked the phone up and rang EPU before I got a chance to say anything (maybe she saw my british bulldog face when I walked in).

So, im going for a scan on Thursday at 10am.
