After a few moments deliberation I decided to go for it and get a double, just a cheapy Graco but its good reviews and should do the job nicely. My mumma's bought it for me out of some money my Nan left us http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_45_10751_-1_14603_96991_10001_14051

I looked at that one, it's got good reviews. I nearly had a breakdown in mothercare at the weekend trying to decide between double buggies It will definitely come in handy to have one xx

I'm sort of glad that I can't really try them out because otherwise I would NEVER pick one. I just go by the price and reviews lol.

We were just having a quick look round when the sales assistant decided to show us how they all worked and gave us a catalogue to go home and stress over too, big mistake! It is easier if you just pick one with good reviews and go for it! xx

See I keep changing my mind between wanting a side by side or a tandem. If I could just make a decision I'd be on the look out for bargains! xx

I've read better things about the tandems rather than side by side like side by side I think are better for twins as the weight on both sides is the same but with a toddler and baby can quite difficult to handle. erm doesn't fit in shops and doors as easily and might not fit easily in car boot takes up more space etc. There the reasons I went for tandem anyway

Thats really nice Jade. Probably what I would have picked had my mum not bought off ebay before consulting me Ha, only joking, I cant complain as she paid and im not convinced how much it will get used anyway with it being winter and then Caitlin is 3 the following Summer. (Mine is a side by side & I am worried about doors etc - it does fit in my tiny boot but which alot of those fancy tandem type ones's dont) I think Tyler and Caitlin are going to look like huge giants beside their lil brothers or sisters!

Am I the only one not getting a double pushchair?! I feel like maybe I've been stupid and you all know something I don't. I just figured Imogen would walk with me or i'd get her a buggy board. Also if Matt is around (and tbh i don't go anywhere for a long time without him or someone else) then we could push a buggy each. I have a travel system for baby boy &the zia for Immi.

| Shell I didnt think I needed one either - certainly wouldnt have spent £80 of my own money on ebay on it. I too planed on using either buggy board or putting Caitlin in stroller and newborn in her old travel system when out as a family. Especially as it will be winter, I dont think its gonna get that much use.
BUT after reading a few threads on here I am kinda glad my mum bought the double. Just for trips to Dr's for jabs in 1st cpl months if im on my own and stu working. If Caitlin decides she aint walking it would be a nightmare trying to control her and a pram. I did a pratcise trip to town last week with the reigns and she literally went off in any direction or just through herself on the floor. That and a 9am Dr appointment with a newborn in the snow is a recipe for disaster!
How good is immi at walking where you want? All kids are different, you may be fine x |

She has good days and bad days. She's a very competant walker and doesn't tire easily but she's independant and will suddenly decide she doesn't want to hold my hand. I don't use reigns as she will have a complete meltdown about them and is much more behaved without them. She is prone to run off but pretty much always comes back after a few steps, she likes to tease and test my patient. Saying that she can be a nightmare some days. I guess if I desperately need a double when baby comes then i'll sell the travel system and invest in a double. A lot can change in 3months. It's hard to know how Imogen will act then.

I got a double because hopefully OH will be working, and I'm planning on having Tyler with me at least 2 day a week and would be nice to take him out ( for us winter is the only time we can all go out really as its cool enough) we took him for a walk the other day and he got half way and then through himself on the floor. no way I coul dcarry him and push a pram I dont think he'd use a buggy board, and he doesn't do holding hands. I couldn't push my pram one handed and hold Tylers reigns either. so thats why I got th double

I see, makes sense. I guess it depends on the older child. I'll just wait and hope i don't have to rush out and get one!
