Good or bad experience?
Would you get it done?

I know people who've had it done. Personally I wouldn't. I've worn glasses since I was 11 and it would be nice to see in the shower but if it goes wrong your sight could be worse. They also have no idea what the long term impact could be

I'd get it done in one eye cos one of mine is worse than the other and if it went tits up at least it was the bad one!! but I'll probably never get it done, I'll just keep squinting!

I used to work for an opticians and we would people that had just had it donr come for post op checkups and had a lot of positive outcomes from it. They usually do one eye first then the other just in case. X

I have to say it was one of the best things I've ever spent money on...I wore glasses for years then lenses...in the end I got it done...within bout 2hrs I could see teletext from my seatee amazing That was 2yrs ago n my sight is still just as good...I think it's with tho paying the extra for the wavefront lasek cos there's no blades so recovery time n pain is significantly reduced...the procedure wasn't painful as such just a little uncomfortable but only took 15mins for both eyes... Would definitely recommend it!

I had it done 4.5 years ago now, and i would definitely recommend it. Not sure i would like to go through the procedure again though! Recovery was fine, but my eye socket on one of my eyes must be a different shape as that eye hurt a lot more when done. I take my eyesight for granted now, i forget that i had to ever wear lenses or glasses. I was lucky that my Dad paid for me to have it done and our optician recommended a clinic on Harley Street, so it was fantastic care. I would be dubious about using a chain off the high street as i have heard a few horror stories.
