| Did you watch it?
I was quite suprised at how, according to these experts that the odds are really stacked against you when you get past 35! I had ellie at 41 with no problems at all.

I did and I was surprised as well. I had my first when I was 39. I conceived after a year and yes I had high bp but no diabetes etc. With my second I was 40 with no problems whatsoever and got pregnant within a month. I have just been reading up on the Internet and women are getting pregnant naturally still at 45/46 |

| My friend tells me off but I frequently freak out about fertility declining at 30 and after 35 being difficult to conceive. I harped on about that in my early twenties and was determined to have my children before 30 for that reason.
My friend thinks im mad. She had her lil boy at 18, is now 25 and studying a masters in law and plans on having 3-4 more children in her mid-late 30's when her career is established. She has no concerns about fertility and thinks im crazy for worrying for her.
I know clearly for you guys it all worked out but for me ttc in my 30's and it not working would have broke my heart. I read that at 40 if you have never conceived before you only have a 1-3% chance of having a baby. I just dont like those odds.
You lot are fab mums btw, and not too old. Waiting to 35+ was just not something I considered. |

| i wasn't particularly worried about my fertility, it may seem selfish but i wanted a career and to enjoy myself with no responsibility, I wasn't maternal and only discussed the prospect of kids around the age of 33 .
I wouldn't have had the patience in my 20's but thats just me, i count myself very lucky. |

| I suppose maybe thats why my friend isnt so worried, she already has her son so at least she knows she can conceive and also if she doesnt its not like she never got to experience motherhood. Also people have priorities that are right for them. If you dont think you want babies until you are in your 30 then these doubts dont enter your head. I always knew I wanted to be a mummy and I made the choice (possibly quite hastily) that at 24 instead of throwing myself into getting my career started, I would prefer to go baby making. Hopefully it will all work out in the end though and i'l be a mega amazing career woman in my 30's It depends who you focus on too, I would have wept reading ttc stories online or in magazines - whereas my friend looks at aunts of hers who got married at 38 and went on to have 2 or 3 children. She is a very positive person whereas Im a worrier/realist by nature. x |

| its an interesting debate, bit off topic but i always wonder if its frame of mind, me and OH are very laid back and conceived really quickly. Mind you I couldn't careless about my career now so it shows that age doesn't matter |

| I do agree with all you snoops and I did exactly as you are doing. Having kids were always in my plans. I had my two before I was thirty and there's no way I would have it till my late thirties to start ttc.
For me having ellie at 41 was just a super duper added bonus for which I'll always be grateful for. I know now that I was just so lucky to achieve this with no problems... Actually I did gestational diabeties in the last month of pregnancy, but no one ever said it was age related! |

| I didn't watch the programme, I had my 1st at 27 which felt right for me! My second I was almost 32, Hayden turned 2 today I'm 38 was any other ladies asked at booking in if they wanted to be sterilised - I clearly stated I wasn't ready to make that decision |

| Emma, yes I was asked about sterilisation and I refused as at the time I was thinking I'd like another straight after ellie. |

| see my career was going rather well, but i was bored (felt i had gotten as far as i was going to go for a couple of years) with work and we thought well, lets just see what happens - i think if it had taken much longer and i was into my 30s i definitely would have gotten more serious about ttc though - i was just lucky. |
