| strange cos he never has befor, but we went to a cafe and he shared my omlette and chips with me, i gave him a dollop of ketchup(hes had it about twice befor)...anyway when i cleaned him up, all his face had gone puffy and where the ketchup had been(errr all over lol) was a raised red area , i was thinking maybe take him AnE cos was worried as my sister has gone into anphylactic shock once and it started the same(she only put hair gel on her eyebrows lol)...anyway decided to run into the nearest boots and buy some piriton, pharmacist said to give him slightley more than it said on the box...thankfully within 15 mins by the time we had got back to the car the swelling had gone down...but how strange how something he had eaten befor had effected him this time and not befor x |

| was it from a bottle as they might have added something to it (isn't it vinegar they add?) and he might have reacted to that rather than the ketchup.
glad he's ok now. Immi had a reaction like that to mayonaise, its so scary to see.x |

| ahh good thinking shell, you could be right as it was from their own dispenser so have no idea what could have been added, lesson learned though, it will make me think twice about what they could be adding now ...suppose i could rub a little ketchup on his arm or something to see if he has a reaction, if not then i know it must be something theyv added thanx lesley x x |

| Are you sure it wasnt the egg? Thats a more common allergy in toddlers, though its strange the things you can be allergic too. Plus you can become allergic to something at any point in your life. My cousin became allergic to nuts at age 19 at uni, he'd ate them in childhood etc and then one night took a reaction to a brazil nut and now has to avoid them all.
Glad he ok now. Allergic reactions are scary!!! x |

| if it was really cheap ketchup it also could have been the red food colouring - it's pretty common for things like that to cause reactions (i would imagine catering ketchup has these sorts of things in it!) |
