| For the next baby? The moses basket has been in storage (although not covered so could be dusty) for about 18 months and Tyler is still using the cot matress which he will be using probably up until september time at the latest and then new baby will be in it in November. It has a removeable top bit that can be popped inthe machine at 60 so think that hsould be ok but wasn't sure about the moses basket? |

| I didn't get a new moses basket matress - mine was plastic covered anyway so just gave it a good wipe over and some fresh clean sheets.
Thomas has a cotbed so is still in it so Hannah got her own cotbed.

| I'm not bothering. I think guidelines suggest you should but I've had a look at the mattress and it seems fine. Imogen is in a bed now so baby will be having her old cot mattress too. |

| i probably wouldn't bother if the basket turns out to be fine - i would use the same crib/mattress if we still have it (the moses basket got squished under the bed but tbh i think it was only £30 as we bought it in a hurry so no worries really) |

| Im probably over cautious but im getting a new moses basket mattress, purely because of the guidelines. Im also getting a new cot matress - but only because Caitlin is keeping her cotbed & mattress and we are getting my cousins old cot. I think if it was Caitlins old cot id be less inclined to buy new.... just seems dif it not being a siblings. |

| mmm I think I'll keep the cot matress and prob get a new moses basket one only because it's been stored in our basement which could be damp and I dont want to take any risks... although I hope I can find a matress to fit or I'll just need a whole new one |

| I would get new mattresses tbh. For one thing there was definitely an Imogen-shaped dent in the basket mattress by the time she had grown out of it, but also although the basked and cotbed were second hand, Imogen had new mattresses for her so why shouldn't the second baby have that comfort too.
You shouldn't have a problem finding one to fit - just might need to shop around a little xx |

| Lily had Aimee's cot and we didnt bother with a new mattress. Technically, the cotbeds are supposed to last for 5 years so I didnt see a problem with Lily having Aimee's mattress after 20 months. x |
