PostSubject: Leggings   Leggings EmptyFri Jun 03, 2011 8:07 pm

Does anybody look good in them?

I swear they are the most unflattering/ unattractive garment on this earth.

It doesn't seem to matter whether you are 2, 22 or 82 they look awful.

Is anyone the right shape for them - not too fat, too thin, too short, too tall?

My niece is forced to wear them and they are awful on her. I saw a little girl in them yesterday with her nappy bulging out unattractively and her spindly little legs just looked like little sticks.

It seems as well that although adults who wear them tend to cover their bums with a longer top they don't do the same for their little girls and the poor little sods end up looking a right sight.

rant over. Just wanted to express my point of view.

Katie I am fortunate that I have a boy so leggings aren't an issue. Wil lives in baggy shorts, jeans or trousers.

I wear either jeans, long shorts (below the knee) or work trousers.

When you have ducks' disease like I do (big arse far too close to the ground) leggings are hideous.

I hate leggings and the only time Amelia will wear them with a short T-shirt is whilst potty training and we have nothing left! If she wears them now (rare) she wears them the same way I wear my only pair, with a long dress top x

We're a leggings family too!

I really like them as long as they're wore right. I also think that they need to be decent quality!

I wear them dressed up with high shoe boots and long tops that cover by bum. I also wore them casual in tbe winter with long jumpers, big socks and flat boots (hehe sounds awful but they looked ok)..

Ellie wears them with long tops and dresses, I don't like big nappy bums.

They are just so comfy!

It's the ones where you can see far too much bum that get me most.

Under long tops/ dresses I can understand but who needs their bum emphasising that closely, whether nappied, bony or just large.

And don't get me started on jeggings WTF

I used to hate them because I thought I was too fat for them. Once everyone started wearing them I was brave and bought a pair and now love them. Only black but, and they have to be thick enough/the right size. I hate seeing them stretched so much they look sheer and unflattering. I make sure my wobbly arse is covered too.

They are cooler (temp wise) than jeans, and I would never expose my legs in shorts so suit me fine. Also being pg they are ace as they stretch and keep me out of mat clothes for a bit longer.

Caitlin wears them too, she has a skinny bum and legs but so only prob is getting them small enough or they too baggy. 12-18mths fit her best atm. Today she is wearing 9-12mth shorts from last summer! I dont wear jeggings myself but Caitlin has 2-3 pairs and tbh wears them the most as they go with anything! Im a bug jeggings fan on toddler girls! Very Happy

we're a leggings family too!! I live in mine as they are so comfy and lillie has some on everyday. so handy to put under dresses if too hot for tights. Plus when she goes to school, hate her in jeans and feel she cant move around as much, plus not putting her in dresses to wreck. she leggings and tops!

I live in leggings so does Chloe they are comfy, easy for her to get on and off for the toilet, and the most important bit - THEY DON'T NEED IRONING!!! And IMO anything that doesn't require ironing is a winner Very Happy

I quite like my legs and don't have a huge arse so I don't think I look to bad in them, but I wouldn't wear them with a short top, long tops only

I ventured into the world of leggings when I was pregnant with Lily.

I only wear them with boots and ALWAYS make sure my backside is covered - nobody needs to see that!

Izzy wears them at home cos they are comfy and easy to get up and down!
I don't particularly think they are the most attractive type of trousers for toddlers but at the end of the day when they are playing at home...who really cares?!

I would never wear them without a top over my bum, it just seems wrong for my bum to be on 'show'!

I'm living in leggins atm so comfy and I'm not quite ready for jeans after my section. I only ever wear them with long tops though and a long cardi if I'm outside so my bum is doubly protected

Neither me nor Libby wear leggings, for opposite reasons - my legs are far too chunky and Libby's are far too skinny so both of us look ridiculous in them.

Last summer I did put Libby in them a couple of times but always with a long tunic top.

i NEVER wear leggings...i really hate them...in town i see girls with leggings on so tight that you can clearly see their knickers...i often wonder how they can not realise how see through they are

lily-ann does have some leggings...but she only wears them with a long top/dress...and isn't walking anyways so no-one would see her bum/nappy bulging or owt anyways
