Now if i went to my GP and told them this...but also told them I DO NOT want the tablets that stop the body absorbing fat..im to young for faecal incontinence just yet....and I WILL NOT even entertain the idea of weight loss surgery of any kind.... what could they do to help me? |

they would send you off with a suggestion of a gym membership...that's about it...they might suggest some appetite suppressants too(but these aren't healthy) claire, looking at mfp you're doing 'starvation style' diets(i.e cambridge) so after a bit your body shuts down and stores fat instead of getting rid of it

NEVER drop below 1200...especially if you are exercising...you will initially drop some weight but then your body realises it's not getting enough and it freaks and stores fat. say you eat 1500cals....but then go and burn off 600with exercise, you then have to eat back AT LEAST 300 of those to get your 'net' calories back up onto the 1200. check out 'starvation mode'...it'll prob explain it better than me

I feel for you Hun. I'm the same. I think kenty is right though we might be storing fat. I eat about 1500 and burn 1000 odd and so my body is storing I guess. If you fancy a diet buddy :-)

Kitcat...if you have a high amount of weight to lose then it can be done...look at the people on the biggest loser...they burn 6000 a day but only eat 1200 but if your weight is anywhere near 'healthy weight' then that is a high possibility

Faye is prob going to scream at me now!! but Im doing the cabbage soup. I can hear you now faye!! lol but it doesnt burn fat, puts your body into starvation. can only do it for 7 days. BUT Im so someone who starts these diets and if I cant see any results I give up with in few days. SO my idea is to do this for 7days loose weight then I will feel so much better (as Im getting sooo down about my weight at the moment! stopping me do everything inc applying for jobs. grrr) then after this week going to slowing start eating 'food' again but will increase exercise. As I will want to keep it off. Iv done a day and a bit already I dont feel so bloated, feeling better already. But I know its going to get harder as the week goes on as your not allowed to eat anything but cabbage soup, fruit on certain days and veg on another. I know it will slw down my metabolism, but I will work on getting that back now next week. Sounds drastic but its the only way I can kick start dieting.
