i jst caught evan eatin something went to see wat it was it was 5p but wen i opened his mouth to get it ou t he swallowed it
he is fine i tried to get him to drink but he wudnt he isnt choking or strugglin to catch a breath so do u think its went right down?
im worried incase its stuck further down the back of his throat

Aww bless him, I'm sure if it was stuck he would be showing signs of discomfort. I can't really give any advice hun coz I don't know what I would do. I wouldn't be too worried till it has to come out the other end. Glad it was just a teeny 5p and not a 2p or something

Just keep a close eye on him hun until someone more useful replies

and if it is stuck further down hopefully his breakfast will help it fully down

I think I would prob take him for an xray to be safe hun.

Chances are he will pass it though, but it could get stuck in his small intestines so its not worth taking any chances x

Hun if he seems fine I am sure it's gone Down fine. It will come out the other end eventually. I really can't see them doing an X-ray!! Don't worry to much he will be fine. Sam swallowed a little pebble a couple of weeks ago and we found it eventually

ive read a few sites and most say for a small coin to give it 2 days to pass before seeing a doc
he is sat eating a pancake jst now (not the healthiest breakfast i kno but its lemon and raisin pancakes and he loves them so i figured was best to give him sumit i knew he wud scoff with no fuss that way id kno if he didnt eat it then it wud be cos of coin)
he usually goes regular so ill give it til mon if its not passed we will go to docs

Maybe give NHS direct a call too. They may be able to tell you how long it will take to pass out of his system.

hi my friends biy swallowed 10 p she took him to an and e they said as long as he fine in himself they give it 2 days to pass . tho his too 5but cme out fine . lol .

Hi hun, my friends little girl swallowed a 1p not so long back, they took her to the hospital and they gave her an xray just to make sure that it hadn't got lodged anywhere on the inside and then just told her to keep checking for it coming out. I guess it depends on your hospital xx

Well when Emily was about 5 she swallowed the silver marble that you get in mousetrap!!!! I took her to get an xray and they said it will come out eventually.............. 10 days later it came out!!!! That was not my fave job checking her poo every day!!!

Lottie swolled a pebble a couple of months ago and I was panicking. I rang the docs and he just said keep an eye on her.

Anyway she was fine, just keep and eye on her cos Lottie was quite sick later on - it obviously irriated something but she was fine other than that
