H can climb out of his cot! He's gone screaming to bed tonight no idea why as he's such a good sleeper. Anyhow hear a big bump and he's out of the cot. I put him back and watched him do it, he leant over the bars and pulled himself over, I had to catch him as he was going to fall on his head. I can't leave him in there tonight as he is likely to injure himself. Looks like we are going to have to convert his cot to a bed. I have a feeling things are not going to be easy. He shares with his brother who is in a cot. HELP!!!!

Oh dear hun, don't really have any advice but you might find he is ok. When I took Thomas's side off he got out once because of the novelty and then went to bed, I think just knowing he wasn't trapped was enough for him - there was no challenge any more. I'm just waiting for Hannadini to scale the side of hers now - she was giving it her best shot today and wasn't far off xx

Oh dear!! I found out Abbie could do the same when she climbed out of her cot and came down the stairs out of her loft bedroom into mine!! We have had some issues since putting Abbie into a bed, as she would rather play/trash the bedroom than sleep!!! They girls used to go to bed together as they too share a room, but now we have to stagger their bedtimes and hope the other one doesn't wake when we put them to bed!!! Good luck!! xx

oh dear could you maybe take one side of the cot off and then put the other side up against a wall (so the cot still has stability) ?? just a quick fix until you're able to buy a bed xx

Well the sides off and he has a pillow and duvet, I expect tonight will be every bit as awful as I imagine. He has a gate on his room and I've kiddi proofed it as much as I can so if he plays up I will leave him. If L wakes then he will come in with us. Wish me luck x
