| 3 nights in am ready to scream. It's been awful. He keeps getting out of bed and waking his brother then he will curl up on the chair instead of going back to his bed and go to sleep. He's not used to a pillow and duvet so going to remove them and put him back in his sleeping bag tonight see if it's makes a diff x |

| I think its just the novelty and it will wear off in time. It took Oliver a while to get used to the duvet too even though he had one in his cot..but I suppose its just different being in an 'open bed' . Tbh I didn't put O in a sleeping bag again after going into a bed, just due to the risk of him falling/tripping over.
You could always move the chair from the room until he gets used to going back into his own bed. Is he waking Lewis a lot? Do they have the same bed time?
I hope he gets settles soon. |

| Completely sympathise with you. Imogen was a right nightmare at first. We ended up putting her back in a cot for a month then trying again and she just went to sleep straight away. We do have a bed guard but she climbs over it so not sure why we still bother having it there. We still struggle with day time naps as she will mess around a walk out the room. Can't really offer advice just wanted to say it will happen, like Zee said the novelty will wear off.x |

| Well last night wasn't much better. Took ages for him to go to sleep then it was in the chair so oh then moved him to bed where he slept till 1.30 am then was up again and ended up sleeping up on chair and floor! Gonna move chair out today see if that helps. He used to be a fab sleeper. We have a video monitor in there so we can see what he's doing. |

| Took the chair out last night. He went to sleep early as he was shattered but woke up when he fell out of bed ( we have a gap where he gets in and out) which then woke Lewis so had both of them crying. Lewis settled down again but H was up wondering around for about an hour. At one point he laid on the floor. Anyway I went to sleep and when I woke up looked at the CCTV on my phone and he had gone back to bed and fell asleep till 6am, then he played and threw toys into Lewis cot till 7am. He's gone down again tonight quite quick, oh stayed with him till he dropped off. If he wakes again tonight we won't go in, hopefully he will get the message it's sleep time x |

| It sounds like he's getting there, like I say the novelty will wear off soon enough. I found that not going in was far better, at 1st I was going in and guiding him back to bed but if I just left him to it, he went back of his own accord. I suppose its harder when you have Lewis to think about too. O settled reasonable quickly (after about a week or so) and then he was fine for ages, but then became quite upset/unsettled when we put him to bed so had to do the gradual retreat method. Good luck and I hope things get better from now on |

| I think your right Zee, it's better not going in. Last night he went to sleep quite quick whilst oh was in there and then didn't wake till 4am, he had a wander round and tried to get out but then gave up and went back to bed till 6.15am when oh got up" he then played till I got up at 7am. I am sure that one night of just leaving him has done the world of good. If we had kept going in I am sure it would take longer x |

| Update tonight. Oh took him to bed and stayed in there for a little while then left when he was still awake. He protested for a short while and then got himself into bed and went to sleep and slept till 5.30am when he got up and played for an hour. So pleased x |
