well been doin it 4 a while got my regulars and those who spend loads but was just wondering about doin it while being preggy Heavy bag with all the books in delivering and collecting Lots of bending down to pick books up from ppls doorsteps !!! Lots of walking and i mean it dont exactly earn me stacks (i tend to put it all back into avon anyway :/ Dunno whether to stop or not

Do you really make any profit from it? If it was me, and I wasnt, then I would give up x

Id try to carry on as its a job that fits around you and your family and you pack it in those customers may find another supplier!!

Could you your OH to go with you on deliveries to help with the heavy bag??

I worked right up tp 36 weeks and carried on doing my job, not that it was manual or anything but I did lift files and post etc. I think theres always bending and lifting in our everyday life of being mothers/housekeepers etc.

But if theres any reason why you feel like you want to pack it in and you can afford to, then just pack it in

I packed it in due to sheer lazyness... and the fact that all my customers were tightarses and spent about £3 each!

lol me too! I hated every minute of it tbh and I only did 2 campaigns I think it depends if you get a good area or not - the area I had were all really old people or snobby gits.

I didn't carry all the books in a bag though I put the kids in the double buggy and shoved all the books underneath I woould get 10 out at a time (reduced the amount of bending) and rest them on the buggy hood or give them Thomas to hold. Could you not get Jaiden to help you by getting them out each time and passing them to you? - he would probably love to help.

It might be nice when baby comes along to help you get out and about and give you a little pocket money to treat the kids now and then? but like Pen says - if you want to give up and can afford to then do it hun.

You should be fine for a few more months yet and one you start to get a bump your regulars will realise it will be hard work for you so could you not just give them your number and they could phone you with their orders so you don't have to collect at a certain time on a certain day? Then maybe ask OH to go round with you collecting and redelivering when you feel up to it. Or just stick to your regulars whilst pg and leave the rest till after?

Just a few ideas - I'm sure there is a way of keeping it up if you want to but if you feel it will be too much and you wont miss it then pack it in

ooh thats a tough one.. i was helping my husband do betterware, and I had to stop last week at 36 weeks pg as the walking was just causing too much pain. Before that it was fine though. If i wasn't pg, i would consider putting baby in a sling/baby carrier and loading the buggy up with catalogues, so i don't have to carry anything heavy.

if you don't make enough cash to cover your time and the effort it takes though, i would be tempted to give up..
