Caffeine Withdrawal _
PostSubject: Caffeine Withdrawal   Caffeine Withdrawal EmptySat Jun 18, 2011 2:47 am

Even on ranitidine awens still refluxy though we hve seen some improvement since i put her amber anklet on. So i decided to cut out fizzy drinks, caffeine and chocolate to see if it helps. Started yesterday morning.

Last night developed headache about 11pm. Woke up at 3am with an awful pressure headache. Was trying to move without moving any single part of my head as ven moving my eyes made the pain worse. All i had in house was diclofenac so took that which didnt touch it and eventually just dropped back off to sleep.

Today headaches been there all day thpugh more just aware of it than the horrible pain of last night. Managed to go all the way to asda, spend 20 quid and come home without any painkillers too! Am also irritable, totally exhausted and drowsy, actually wondered if i was safe to drive when i took the girls out to get Awens jabs earlier and even after an hour and a half in bed when both the girls went for a nap feel as tired and drowsy as before plus the headaches creeping up again so gonna text neil to bring some painkillers home.

Any one given up caffeien before and got any idea how long its gonna last really? Have been and bought some jelly sweets and yghurt for later to take my mind off fancying a choc bar and a tin of fizz

Think it should only last a couple of days at most. Whenever I've had caffeine withdrawal I've had gallons of water which seems to help

Cheers all. Few more rough days then. Neil bought me home some paracetamol and cocodamol so have stuff in now for as needed. Have taken some cocodamol about an hour ago as it was ramping up again and more comfy now. Planning on expressing then early night i think as feel like a big lump of dough atm from tiredness not being helped by lack of caffeine

It took me 5 years to wean myself off caffeine and the final headache after that last cup of tea took 2 weeks to go. My starting point was 7-8 cans of coke a day.
