I felt the same at the start, I didnt quite believe it. Dont speak so soon but, Iv felt awful the last 2 months so it can catch up with you! Im never happy - no symptoms and I stress - get symptoms and I moan!
As for the MW thing that sounds quite normal, my hospital do the same. You go at 11/12 weeks for booking in and get scan done the same day. Im guessing if you were considering other options you would book app with GP/clinic yourself to discuss it and not wait to talk to a MW so in that respect it doesnt really matter.
It is bad but for people who dont have a clue about folic acid/vitamins/foods to avoid. In our area you see the GP face to face to say you are pg and they briefly go through folic acid etc and do your BP and then make referral to MW team.
With Caitlin I saw MW at 6 or 7 weeks and then had scan at 12 weeks. Im guessing they are cutting down on their workload by not seeing people until they are further on. Good for them, worrying for us!
