went into post office to pay a bill this morning and thought would top up my gas and electricity whilst there ,,,
asked her for 10 leccy and 5 gas ( i LOVE the summer )and handed her 20 , she gave me 5 change and went away to put them on keys
she gave me my keys back and said 5 on that 10 on that and read the receipts , stumbled for a second and repeated yeah 10 on that !
i thought nothing of it till i got home and checked it , my leccy receipt said 30 !
she obviously seen the 30 on receipt and gave me them anyways ! sure enough i got home and put key in as was beginning to think she gave me someone else receipt or something but no she did put 30 on my key !
having thought about it , whilst she was putting leccy on key the postmaster was questioning her if the postcards were 35p and she said no they are 30p so i think this is where she screwed up
normally i would be straight up there handing her 20 quid to cover it BUT having just cancelled bank card im a bit strapped
the thing is they way she looked at receipt i am positive she knew she made a mistake and gave me it anyways ?
OH who also works with pay point said she would have had several chances to confirm amount and it will be put down to her mistake and shop loss , however i feel really guilty in not going up and sorting something out
,, also with her reading the receipt and seeing her mistake she couldd quite easily have cancelled the last sale which was mine and did it again ? , maybe she got a bit flustered and handed me it , i know some ppl dont know you can cancel the last transaction within 10 mins of sale ,,,
