Feel a bit guilty _
PostSubject: Feel a bit guilty   Feel a bit guilty EmptySat Jul 02, 2011 12:38 am

Have been longing to be a SAHM since I had Jamie. I was in work today (although for INSET not proper teaching) and actually quite enjoyed it which makes me feel a little guilty.

I was exactly the same and got myself into a right state when I had to leave Ellie to go back to work (3 days per week).

But after a while I was loving it. Its great being with my friends who I have so much in common with and I love being at work. The days I have with Ellie are even more special now and I always plan our days so that we do something fun so it works well.

When Ellie goes to school I will go back full time.

Dont feel guilty hun, most of us feel this way Smile

I think part time would be the perfect solution but unfortunately can't afford that either (well until oh wins £137 million tonight). Hadn't realised just how underused my brain had become

You'll be suprised at how quickly you settle back into it.

Some days I wish I was full time as I do a job share now which is a bit frustrating at times.

been thinking about it myself, just filled an application form in for a new job, which might mean i have to go back to work in sept/oct when i was planing jan/feb.

but its in a school so will be better to have time with kids in holidays instead of childcare.

but i'm already feeling guilty about going back, but i also know that if i dont i'd go mad staying at home all the time, although i'm sure i'd cope if i could lol

i have actually spent the last week looking for work and speaking to my organisation about coming back off casual relief - i love being a mummy but i really really need something else (and i cannot stand being so effing poor anymore). i reckon 16 hours a week is ideal - wtc plus only a couple of days work and enough to get by on....

ask me again in a weeks time when i have done the first 20 hours i have done in erm going on 2 years

I've been on mat leave now since I had Ollie so nearly a year. I'm going back in feb but I only work part time 3 hours a day so its perfect for me. I'm really looking forward to it though, I'm bored being at home. Maybe this will change when Amelia does more than sleep/eat/poo

I would kill to go back to work full or part time and I don't feel guilty AT ALL saying that Laughing I think it would do us all the world of good. I understand completely that I am very lucky to be in a position to be a SAHM but I'm just not cut out for it, once this wedding is out the way I will go back part time somehow.

xx
