Hen Night Abroad _
PostSubject: Hen Night Abroad   Hen Night Abroad EmptyTue Jul 05, 2011 2:57 am

One of my friends is getting married next year and she is having a hen 'night' in Majorca. They are going for 3 nights, but if I went I would only go for 2, as the first one falls on our wedding anniversary.

I have never even contemplated leaving the girls and going that far away without them, but after the great news we had about Aimee, part of me thinks that it wouldnt be the end of the world for me to go for 2 nights.

James would look after them (and the new baby, who would be about 4/5 months by then) and is happy for me to go.

I feel really guilty even thinking about it, but at the same time, the thought of a couple of days to recharge my batteries after the last couple of years sounds so tempting beyond words.

So, if you were me, would you go?

i would prob be too worried to go but i think you deserver it !
so much so i think you should celebrate your anniversary early and go for 3 nights Smile
if james has an issue remind him of his drunken pass outs before eating all the food that prob would by now total the cost of henny trip lol ! x

Lol, good idea Michelle.

James said that I can go for as long as I want and has no issues at all by me going on our anniversary. Its me who feels bad, as I know if he wanted to go away on our anniversary I wouldnt be impressed at all.

I would be there like a shot - for the 3 nights Laughing

My friend had a 3 night hen do in Spain a few years ago and a couple of the girls had kids at home. They did miss them a bit but they also really enjoyed the break and getting some me time back.

When we were away on the hen party we didnt really party too much - maybe one late night at 2/3am in a pretty tame bar. I was a bit miffed at the time about it as I was 23 and childless, but now I understand why the others enjoyed lying in to 10am (that was bloody early for me lol!), lazing by the pool sipping drinks, shopping without the kids..... sounds like utter heaven now!!!!

Im actually starting to feel nervous now.

I hate flying and the thought of being so far away from my babies fills me with dread, but I really do think I should do this.
