So what did you all buy your little one's for their first birthday and did they get alot of use from it ? was is worth it's money ? help them learn etc i want to buy thing's she will play with get use from help her learn etc. Her birthday is in september so if it's any outside toy's they need to be inside too or she won't get much use from them.
Also not going to over board on toy's as xmas will be pretty soon after her birthday.

| umm we got a few bits and pieces for elijah, he mostly loves: playballs, £3 paddling pool from tesco which we use indoors with the balls, bucket and spade set, dustpan and brush set (and i mean LOVES following us around with this!), any size/texture of ball, a wooden ark with animals that he can post into it (although they are now chipped from his teeth boo!), board books and a small bag of megabloks ohhhh and a grownup plate/bowl/metal toddler cutlery set!!! i would try and keep it simple, we made the mistake of getting loads last christmas and have only just given it all to him |

| this might sound really mean but if you do end up getting money from people it's well worth putting some aside or buying some giftcards so they aren't too easy to fritter away as you will find as she gets bigger you will see stuff you want and be able to buy it |

| We went for a more sentimental pressie and bought Imogen a silver bracelet.
She got a dolly from my aunty and she absolutely loves it, it started her obsession with babies and dolls. In laws bought a little pushchair too which she loves too.
My other aunty bought her an aquadoodle thingy and she loved that too, altho we haven't had it out much recently as she started just throwing a cup of water all over it.
Tbh we were a bit boring last year and got practical gifts, my grandparents paid for the things to decorate her room, my mum bought one of those littlelife backpack reins - she actually loves this just as much as any toy.
A few other things she's had throughout the year and christmas and loved are cleaning set (can't stop her sweeping!), tea set, musical instruments. |

| I have no idea what is so exciting about sweeping, personally i hate doing it. Imogen will also get the mop out as soon as she drops even the smallest drop of water. We didn't use the backpack much either when we first got it, but now it gets used all the time. Although the reins are a little pointless for Immi she just insists that she holds that. |

Yeah thats what happens. I look like a right knob walking along with her, people must be thinking does that idiot not know what reins are for!? Lucky for me she's pretty good at walk along with me, rather than running off so not a major need for the reins. |
