The last couple of months, I've been a really bad Mummy. The house and garden has been a bit of a dump as we've been doing so much work on it so most days Imogen and I have just been in the living room with Cbeebies on playing with a few toys. Now the house and garden are finished and looking lovely it's kicked my arse into gear to actually start being a good Mummy. This last week I've refused to put the tv on, only radio1 (which we always used to have on in the old place never tv really) and got loads of toys out for Immi, and even more adventurous stuff that I know makes a mess but she enjoys and she's been so happy.

I feel so bad now cause I wonder if she was being a moany moo cause she was bored and pissed off at me. She's been playing in the garden all morning, having a great time and hasn't misbehaved once.

Your pregnant, have just moved and needed to get the house ship shape. Give yourself a break hun, Immi will not remember x

Its totally normal to be like that when you have so much going on.

There have been so many (too many to even think about) days lately when I was feeling so sick that I couldnt leave the house, so the kids were stuck with beebies and toys all day. I do feel terrible for it, but you also have to know your own limits and sometimes we just cant do it all.

I think it's unrealistic to expect anyone to be bale to play with toddlers all day every day, let alone when you've just moved house and your pregnant!

She won't remember anyway and now at least you have a lovely house and garden for her to enjoy. That's better than playing with her every day in a shit hole haha.

dont beat yourself up hun, look at it that you were keeping her safe until the areas were ready for her, I actually think thats being a good mom.

but i probably never did enough with rich when he was younger, now hes too old to play with mom and now i'm in a routine i want to change what we do with him and we starting next week, as russ is off so all change for us lot.
