Now while I totally agree with the point they make about moving around being important - does any one have a toddler that's NOT constantly moving? Or is my child strange?? Laughing Seriously, he doesn't spend 5 minutes sitting still, and I don't think I could make him if I wanted!

I dunno, I suppose older kids probably move less/watch more tv/do more reading etc, I just think "at least 3 hours exercise" sounds odd for toddlers, when there's probably only 3 hours a day that they're NOT moving! Laughing

the only way to get Imogen to sit still is to put Twilight on. Apart from that the girl doesn't stop moving! Even in her sleep she's rolling all over the bed. Maybe there are toddlers that just sit and watch tv but i don't know any like that

no amount of tv will keep this child still - the only thing he will stop for is the occasional story! he had a shower at half six and we have JUST given in and let him back into the living room where he is currently running up and down with his sweeping brush singing to himself and randomly stopping to say wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwow!!!

I can understand with older kids! Not mine I might add, they are always on the move! But in my experience unless you sit on a toddler they don't stop! Even Rhys is never still! Xx

Caitlin def gets more than 3 hrs a day! She is constantly doing laps of the living room not knowing what toy to play with. Even with the TV on she stands, climbs from sofa to sofa, copys them dancing/jumps...

She goes to gymnastics once a week for an hr. The only thing Im prob crap at is taking her for walks. She usually goes in buggy and loves sitting looking round her. I think she's still young enough for that not to be an issue.

I cant imagine many kids are strapped in chairs all day? Shocked
