So its sofa day and the DFS lorry comes. The guys come in the sofa, yank the stair gate out the door without asking me to undo it and knock caelyns box of toys over. The put the sofa in and when I say the man who sold it me said you would take the old one they just looked at me and said Nope. Turns out whoever told me that was talking out their ass so Im gonna look out the paperwork I signed later but I guess if its not on there im stuck.
So they then bogged off leaving scattered toys in their wake and im left trying to reajust the stair gate as i had to unscrew it to slot it back in the door to screw it back up. If they had just asked me to loosen it would have been so much easier, pick up all the toys and try and get the old sofa out to the back garden-bearing in mind Neils at work til 530 and im home alone with the girls. Luckily enough nursings left me with shoulders like popeye and the sofa breaks down into 3 bits but was still hard work manouvering it out the kitchen door to the back garden, nearly broke the cooker and took a bit of wood out one of the doorframes which im hoping estate agent doesnt notice on the inspection monday (esp as ive broken one of the bannister struts and havent fixed it yet).
New sofa is lovely though and shame the old ones not waterproofed cos thats a jolly comfy way to watch C playing in the garden!!!
