Jamie has spent the last couple of nights waking up screaming (I think his teething). He had green poo on Monday although its been ok since. His been more tired than normal and whiney and has a runny nose. He woke up soaked in sweat last night and I've just taken his temperature and its 38. My instinct is he has a cold and is teething at the same time and should be fine but I'm a bit worried about trusting it. What do you think?

why don't you takE him to the baby clinic and speak to the hv. Idbe inclu ed to give him calpol and just keep an eye on him but if your the slightest bit worried then take him to the doctor xx

Thanks ladies. His had calpol and a sleep and seems ok at the moment so think it is a cold a teeth. Me and oh have both been ill so not really a surprise. Think I'm just going to trust my instincts and keep an eye on him for a bit

I would trust your instincts hun I will say though that every single time (apart from the first two teeth) Tyler got an ear infection whenever a tooth popped through - so his symptoms started like teething symptoms, a bit off his food, bit grouchy, then 2 days later was in agony and had ear infection... then a few days later his tooth popped out.



My dr never confirmed that it was connected but it was every time and he's not been ill since he's had no new teeth! Just to bare in mind

i agree with jade trust your instincts, rich always had a chest infection when he teethed, was a nightmare but doc said it was his bodies way of dealing with it or something, i just think he was low and a cold went to his chest,

but since he got all his teeth hes been a well kid, not often poorly, thank goodness
