| aww i wouldn't want my tv in the window cos a)it would spoil any view b) its a bit of an invitation to burglars and c) you will get the sun in your eyes!!! ours is in the corner of the room just my personal opinion though! |

| Can you see it from outside?
I think it might not look very nice from outside but importantly you letting the burglers know what telly you have.
But if its low down and can't be seen from outside then Id say that was fine

| Ours is on the wall and we can pull it out and swivel it round to diff angles, our room is a weird shape so works best.
I wouldn't want to put a tv in bay window as it ruins the view and sun will get in your eyes watching tv. |

| Our telly was too big for a wall-mount bracket that wouldn't cost the same as the telly. (I think that makes us chavs, not sure?).
It's in the corner next to the bay so it sort of sticks into the bay a wee bit but not much. Oh no, that sounds terrible doesn't it, it's not so bad really - it's mostly in the alcove created by the wall/chimney breast but not completely otherwise you wouldn't be able to see it from all seats so it's at an angle. I figure wherever it is in the room burglars can see it, so what difference does it make?
It used to be on the wall opposite the window but I didn't like not being able to see people going past in the street behind me.
We only have the sun in eyes problem first thing in the morning so it must just depend which way round your house points! |

| Ours is basically in the same position as Emvar's. You can see it from the road and its bloody huge (50 inch - Stuart bought it in an auction ). I agree you could see it anywhere we put it. The sun isnt a problem for us. Ours is plasma but so duno if that makes a difference. We live in a quiet cul de sac but so not many ppl drive past. Also when thinking of burglars its that bloody big you would need 2 people to steal it, a van to transport it and would make a hell of a noise getting it out. Stuart would probably love it to be stolen, he wants a flaming 51inch 3D one he saw on offer. Not happening!!! |

Ours is only a 42" and the cheapest I found a good tilt swivel one was about £80..ok ok I know not as expensive as the actual TV, but youd pay that for a TV cabinet, so not too bad when you think of it lie that |

| I might have exaggerated just a tiny bit £80 sounds about right but then we would have had to get a load of HDMI cables at £20 a pop apparently and something to store all the boxes (cable box, DVD player, amp etc) in anyway so we found a bargain unit on ebay and bought that. It's really good cos it has a glass front on it that lifts up like a garage door - too heavy for imogen and stops her pressing buttons and pulling wires. It's big enough for the hard drive wii and balance board as well. It's piano black so goes witht he telly but shows up every speck of dust in the North! |
