Caitlin has never been a great sleeper. Waking 2-3 times a night for a chat or a moan while she searches for a dummy is normal & now I can just listen out for her finding her dummy and then roll back over to sleep. Normal sleeping for her was 830-730 for a while there. Last week though on 3/4 nights she slept 730pm-930am & I didnt even hear her stir.
Finally thought Id got myself a sleeper
BUT
Monday night I put her to bed after bath & btle at 830. She woke at 3am and didnt go back to sleep until after 5am. I tried shhing her in her cot, leaving her to cry, bringing her into my bed, water, calpol. She was fine in my arms but the min I set her down she went crazy. She was then up for the day yesterday before 8am and only took less than an hr nap mid afternoon.
Last night again bath, btl, bed & asleep around 830pm, I was certain she was exhausted. No- she woke at 3am & didnt settles again until 540am, I ended up giving her a btl at 5am but she only tooke 3oz so def not hunger. She then woke at 745am and so far today has only had a 5 min catnap in her buggy in town. Iv tried putting her down for nap & again she just squeals for up to 25 min - before I give in & lift her. She has no temp but Iv given her calpol & teething gel just incase. She seems fine when she up and about, bit groggy through lack of sleep, but refuses to entertain the idea of a nap... She sitting in front of waybuloo now clutching her bed time bear & giving me dirty looks everytime I stroke her hair...
What could be wrong? I honestly dont know how she is functioning on so little sleep. Im near dead on my feet
Anyone else have LO's that as a toddler just decided that sleep wasnt necessary anymore. 8/9hrs in 24 hrs surely cant be right at 1 ????
