| We have this one - but bean just doesn't get it He can climb on and off no worries but then he kind of walks along while holding up the handlebars - rather than sit on it and push? So he ends up waddling about with it, giving it up as a bad job - as if to say 'why on earth would I use that when I can get everywhere quicker running about?!' We have only tried it inside (waiting for him to get the knack of it before using outdoors!) would this have anything to do with it? Or would we be better with a traditional sit-on style one do you think? But how much use (age-wise) do you get out of those? I.E. if they're only any good to about 18 months then not worth buying, but if it will last him a little while then we could get him one like this: http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-8948.aspx |

| I love the one that Beans got But as for the other ride on, they are aged upto approx 3yrs. We got Moo his for his 1st birthday and has loved it from day one, he pushes it up and down, scoots around on it, hides stuff in it and loves taking it out in the garden and doing laps up and down the path Defo worth every penny (of the £15 we spent on it lol) I've just taken Moo to a soft place centre this morning and he seen the ITNG one (above) he got all giddy lol. He's got a Cars - McQueen one |

| It is very cute - but mostly an ornament! Hmmm, shall have to think on - maybe a bigger ride-on is better as I would have thought if he was going to figure out the scuttle bug he would have done so already (we've had it a good few months now). Think he would go nuts for the itng one! But will see if we can try one out first or look for a cheaper one. Would be tempted to leave until Christmas but feels too long to wait! xx |

| I know Caelyn (Mario) has a scuttlebug. Wil has a cheap car ride on from Argos but he struggles to get on and off because it is too light and tips when he leans on it. He also has the Vtech Alphabet Train and finds that a lot easier to get on and off but still doesn't move it when he is on it. http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_171010250799_-1?CMP=OTC-GOOGLEPS |

| Have a look in your local charity shops or second hand stores, we've had loads in ours locally and they usually sell for about £5 This is the one Moo has and its reduced at the moment - Disney Cars Ride-On The onlt time its tipped is when he tried pulling a wheely to get it up the stairs |

| Izzy has the Fisher price Little People bus (very simila to that one in your pic) and a Wheely bug - she has always loved her bus but its not the easiest to steer - she is only just strong enough to lift the front and push with her legs to get round the room The wheely bug is fab cos it has wheels like a desk chair and she can scoot round so easily! It does say its only for toddlers who can walk unaided, I dont get why tbh and Izzy used hers fine before she could walk! |

| We tried one of those out in John Lewis one day - but he just pushed it about then figured he could give it a good shove and run after it too not quite what I had in mind |

^^^ what Zee said! Thomas has exactly the same one as Moo - also got it for his 1st birthday (3 days after Moo ) and uses it in exactly the same way. That thing goes everywhere with him he even lifts it up on the sofa and tries to sit on it there. If we ever lose anything it is the first place we look and 9 times out of 10 it is in the seat of Thomas' car. The best £15 we ever spent! I have to say though - although he can sit on it and push himself around he still prefers to push it with the handle coz he can go FAST! He uses it as a step to reach things and climb furniture too xx |

Haha - bless him, the amount of fun Thomas gets out of that thing is amazing. He lifts it up and pushes it down his slide in the garden, I'm just waiting for him to attempt to ride it down himself , he can pick it up and 'throw' it over the safety gate and his new one - trying to get Hannah to play with it by putting it on top of her - but thats another post xx |
