| No, I don't do regular donations..I can't afford it either. I do my bit by donating to charity via clothes and bric-a-brac donations..thats as much as I can do at the moment.
I do try and spare change for people collecting for registered childrens charities, elderly marie curie etc |

| honestly no i dont, i should but i dont, although i have given £50 to epilespy research this year when my dad and bro climbed ben nevis.
i give £10 to children in need every year and i buy a red nose.
the adverts on tv drive me crazy and rich as started asking if we can give money to all of them.
i put clothes in the charity bags, (we have 1-2 every week)
and thats it.
i just think i do enough for society with my job and we cant afford it, maybe in a couple of years time when all our loans are paid off, i will then be in a situation when we can
i sound like a cold heartless cow, but thats what i think |

| Not directly very often, but I always sponsor friends so support whatever charity they are doing...and tbh I probably give away too much, cos can't really afford what I hand over ... some months its like £40+ |

| i don't...i know i probably should but tbh i just can't afford it most of the time...i will put in to friends collections, but if i were to sponsor any it would definitely be a Rett charity
i always feel really bad having to say no to charities that ask me to sign up for monthly donations etc as i never know if we're going to have enough to cover everything from month to month so i can't sign up to them :? |

| I don't have a regular standing order but my work does a ridiculous amount of fundraising (anything raised gets matched by the bank) so I must probably give about £5 a week to that, plus I sponsor people and contribute to charity car boots. My Mum does a lot for the hospice my Dad went to and I support her as much as I can afford. Now Amelia's bigger I'm going to start doing some of the sponsored walks etc. |

| Yes, i donate £10 per month to sponsor a guidedog and also have a donation from wages to sponsor a child in Africa. At christmas i dont send cards to work colleagues etc and work out what i would have spent and donate that to a charity, this year it was altzeimers (sp), everyone in my office does it now too so we raised quite a lot by doing that x |

| No I don't.
I was quite shocked when I went to a money management course, we had to place a list of bills/luxuries/food/charity etc in high or low priority and I was the only one who put charity as low. I felt like a right biatch, but for me I need to worry about myself and my family and covering the bills before i can fully commit to donating to charity.
I do like to give to charity but i don't like being asked for a monthly donation. I'll give clothes to charity and support fundraising events and drop change in charity boxes. I'm also quite particular about the charities I will give money to. I support children's charities, and those reasearching for cure/helping people dealing with illnesses, help for heroes, anything to support people in need in this country. This might sound harsh but I do not give money to support other countries. |

You shouldn't feel a biatch - just like on a plane they say 'put your own air mask on before trying to help others...otherwise you'll both be dead' |

| I try but I do feel guilty sometimes,
we do a tuck shop in work and take turns organising it and the person who does chooses the charity that the funds go to that month. Ive not had a turn yet but when I do I will probs pick retts.
I used to give to the dogs trust but when money was tight I really had to decide what was important so that got cancelled. I try to sponsor my friends and work mates.
I donate as much as I possibly can for comic relief and children in need - hannahs nursery does events so I donate to that and buy the pudsey tshirts / bears for her and also donate through paypal on the night

| I donate £5 a month to the Heart Foundation (for obvious reasons, lol). I started it pretty much as soon as we came out of hospital. Its more of a karma thing for me and I think if I am good to them, then good stuff will happen for Aimee.
Last year I avoided buying christmas cards too and donated the cost of what I would have spent to the Heart Foundation. My mum and a couple of my aunts did the same. In total we donated another £100 or so, just from not sending Christmas cards. I will do the same this year.
I would like to donate to a cancer charity too, but money doesnt really permit it at the moment.
I rarely put in donation boxes, as I feel that I cant be 100% sure where the money goes.

| We used to donate to water aid by dd and before that the nspcc, but times are harder and we had to stop it. It was the same time we cancelled our magazine subscriptions and a few other non-essentials. I hate when they knock on the door though - OH is really good at saying "no thank you" before they even open their mouths but I end up engaging in the full lecture and go away feeling poo for not giving |

| nope I don't give anything to charity...
I used to when I was in Jersey - through work, we did a lot of fundraising, always doing events and things.
but in Cyprus you get people coming to your door who aren't legit - just children at Xmas time and holiday times trying to get money out of you... I don't trust anything over here I don't what's real or not so would rather keep the money for my family. |
