E is two nd a half and has a nasty habit of pushing. She does it to her 16 month old sister but also younger kids. She's not great verbally but even so. We do time out but hasn't had much effect. I'm so embarrassed byt it as she's a sweet kid really. I don't feel I can leave her to play alone at toddlers in case she pushes a small kid. We've done praising for being gentle but hasn't done a lot likewise distraction.

I'll be watching this thread as Imogen has started pushing a bit recently. I think her problem is she's often around older children, my cousins are 5 & 7 and my neice is 3 1/2 and they can all be quite boisterous playing so she thinks thats the way you play. Its fine when shes with older ones as shes not really doing much harm, altho I still tell her not to do it but its really not nice when its younger ones.
