how often do you treat yourself to something? , I was thinking before Ava how much money I used to spend on myself but now I hardly ever buy anything for me, it all goes on her, I got some birthday money and I even felt guilty for spending that

Not too often really. I buy things in Primark mostly, but I wouldn't call that treating myself as never spend much and its basic things I need and its not even that often anymore. Make up I tend to buy fairly cheap and its always a huge deal if i get something pricey. Apart from that I don't really buy myself anything, that I can think of.

You shouldn't feel guilty for spending your birthday but I understand, i always end up spending mine on the food shopping or paying a bill and jsut think i'll get something for myself later

I used to buy things all the time. Now I tend to spend all my money on Jamie. I do buy books for my kindle but many of them cost less than a pound

hmm im the same, i recently spent £100 on clothes AND got my haircut in the same week, both of which i haven't done in over a year and were desperately needed, but then i see things which i could have gotten for elijah (new winter/autumn clothes, easel, shoes etc etc) and feel awful that i 'wasted' that money

To be honest i spend quite a lot on myself but that is only because i work full time so i do have spare cash left over. I always spend on Lily first and then me after so for example when i was on maternity leave i didnt spend really anything on myself as it all went on Lily! x

It's definitely a lot less since having Izzy, I don't feel the need to spend what i used to (and don't know why/what I spent so much money on!)

I always still have nice makeup, perfume etc ... don't often buy clothes, but I when I need something I don't feel bad cos Izzy gets so much stuff!
I buy myself lots of sewing stuff, which although is 'work' it's also my hobby, I make myself a lot of things

Before Libby I used to buy clothes/shoes/handbags every weekend without fail, but since Libby I never buy myself anything, if I do its because I need it. If I get money for xmas or birthdats I dont spend that on myself either. x

I used to be terrible for shopping and would spend silly amounts each week on things for myself.

Now I prefer to spend my spare cash on the kids, or save it for when we need something big.

I've recently had a bit of a spree got some new clothes for work and outside of work as my wardrobe was in desperate need of updating. I got them in the Next sale so it didn't actually cost me too much. But I hate shopping for myself now but love shopping for Bethany and I could quite happily shop all ady every day for her.

I do quite like the new Marc Jacobs perfume "Oh, Lola" (I think that's what it is called) so I'm debating about whether or not to buy that or hold on and hope that if I make enough hints John will buy it for me for our wedding anniversary next month.

I still treat myself! Not quite as often as i used to, but i do.

I think it's important to still treat yourself occasionaly, still having nice clothes/hair/make up has made me retain some of myself instead of just being mummy 24/7.

Don't get me wrong, i don't buy myself things instead of Alfie, it's aswell as. He's always got everything he could ever need/want and more!

Last week i was planning on getting this beautiful dress i saw in town, but on the way to get it i drove past an agricultural show that i'd totally forgot about so instead of the dress i spent the money taking us to that Smile

Who needs a new dress when you can have hundreds of helium balloons, balls and teddies taking over you lounge anyway Laughing
