| I'm not sure what we should get Chloe for xmas, she will be 11 months old and her birthday is the following month. Also she has 4 sets of grandparents (or should that be three as Richard's dad i'm sure has forgotton she exists), who will no doubt spoil her.
What do you get an 11 month old little girl...any ideas??
xx
PS I have dropped a few hints when I have been with my mum about smart trikes so I hope she gets the hint.. |

| To be honest most of the toys i brough Noah for his first he dont play with lol.
We got given a rocking animal from mamas and papas he likes that. I brought him a plastic golf set he loves that.
Thats about it.
I am glad i brough him some trainers they have came in useful.
I am wanting to get him now the Vtech discovery tree, he loves the one at the play group we go too.
It is hard, i am going to be well stuck for christmas lol.

| Imogen has a trike she got around that age and the mamas and papas rocking animal. Also a pram and a dolly - this started her obsession with babies Apart from that she got books and clothes really at that age. Imogen isn't big on toys though |

| The other thing is do you have to get stuff then? Jamie's birthday is only a few days before Christmas. We're going to get him a few things for both but we've decided his not really going to have much idea what's going on and other people will get him pressies so we're going to save the bulk of the money we would have spent and get him something in the summer |

| We have never bought Imogen a lot. She doesn't understand so we've always kept it fairly simple. She still always ends up with a huge amount because she gets it from other people.
Her first christmas we got the rocking animal thingy and a few little toys 'from Santa'. Her first birthday we got her a special silver bracelet and that was it. The next christmas we only ended up giving her the toys from Santa, we were away so left our present - dolls house at home. She got so much tho from family we kept the dolls house till her bday. We didn't buy anything else for her 2nd birthday |

| Thanks for the ideas ladies...when I read ball pit I thought great I will get one of those but no my mum has beat me to it and I asked her outright to buy Chloe her smart trike and as these aren't cheap I hope my mum won't buy much more (she tends to go a bit mad so we have to rein her in sometimes).
On a different note when your parents and inlaws buy stuff for your children for birthdays and christmas do you have any input in what they buy? Reason I ask is my mum (bless her) has bought some larger items for Chloe which I would have liked to have had some say in, not that i'm not grateful but some of things I wouldn't have chosen for her, ie a walker, I wanted a vtech one but my mum went and bought a completely different one, is this me being picky or do you guys feel the same?

| Mostly we've had input in all of Imogen's presents from close family/friends. They tend to ask what we think Immi would want. With people like in laws who can tend to buy really random things, i get in there early and just casually ask if they know what they're buying her yet and would they like ideas. Then I give them a whole specific list Its a tough situation as you're grateful for anything but it's hard when they buy something you would have bought a different version of. I think you just have to get in quite early and say 'i'm thinking of buying this... or maybe you would like to buy it' just little comments like that. |

| Thanks Michelle....my mum bought this walker months ago (she starts her xmas shopping in Jan..lol). With the smart trike I have told her which one we would like for Chloe so I know she will get the one we have chosen. Luckily my mil has asked us what she could get Chloe so we deffo have input there.
I think i'm going to make a list and carry it in my purse and then if anyone asks what to get I will have a lsit at the ready.
