i probably wouldn't its a bit high on the old caffeine!!! maybe have some red kola (nom nom nom) which is caffeine free but will help those sugar/e-number cravings!!!

So yes technically you could have 2 a day, but no coffee, cola, chocolate etc on top of it.

At the start of my pg I was drinking 3-4 tins of coke every day, which was within limits but not ideal. I told MWs and they said it was prob my body craving energy/sugar as I was so sick and not eating much. They said not to worry if it passed in a few weeks BUT their main concern was the amount of sugar and the weight id put on if I continued drinking it.

I dont think there any problem with the odd tin occasionally. They contain less caffeine than a mug of coffee, which most pg women who enjoy it have the odd time.

why IS caffeine bad during pg?

I think high consumption in early pg MAY contribute to mc but there is no hard evidence. Then through later pg high consumption can be linked to low birth weight, same as smoking in a way I guess.

I have a LOT of diet coke per day - prob within the limit but Ive taken a liking to coffee ice cream and these coffee flavoured slush puppy things ugh.



im just gunna have to cut out the slush puppy things and have the ice cream very occasionally

I personally wouldnt but then i have mc so im more worried in that sort of thing x

i'm still drinking them, but i have cut back ALOT and only have one a day...i had them in my last 2 pregnancies and was never warned against them

had half 1 of them big monster cans and boy was it good :p XX Thanks girls XX
