Had a really good free security/firewall/anti virus programme on my last pc that i downloaded off t'internet somewhere, can't remember what it's called though (might have been avg?). Using Virgin media's free security program which is fine in itself but makes my computer run so slowly - and as I have to do lessons over skype it's making skype really rubbish, dropping calls,, causing delays, it's doing my head in! Any good free programs out there before i stress-headbutt myself into oblivion??

I've used AVG Free edition since I can remember...and the only ever time I have had a virus is when somehow my software got turned off!! I am on the computer all the time and do a lot of browsing and downloading - so it must be pretty good!

Oh for gods sake, how did i manage to put this in baby pics?? Thanks for moving it. Was tempted by AVG but it doesn't seem to offer the shopping and banking protection/ID theft protection, whereas the rubbish one i'm using does. Do you reckon that's important?
