| This kinda shows how random my brain is at times! What are Crunchies made from? Do bee's play any part? Was in the bath there thinking about how much I hate bee's (the fan sounds a bit like a swarm lol) and how I wish they were wiped out.... then I thought nah but who would make my crunchies then? Honestly I know they prob made from sugar but my head is trying to rationalise that bee's make honeycomb and crunchies are chocolate covered honeycomb therefore it is possible that bee's are necessary to make crunchies?! Iv got myself all confused now as to whats real and whats nonsense! Surely there must be more to it than cadburys covering bee's honeycomb in chocolate? |

| Pmsl, bees have nothing to do with honeycomb! The honeycomb in crunches is made with sugar, golden syrup, baking powder and a few other ingredients! Haha you have given me a giggle though |

| Honeycomb is the structure that the bees store their collected honey in.
The toffee version is really easy to make, just heat golden syrup and sugar then pour on either baking powder or bicarbonate of soda and it all froths up as it reacts with the acid, then you just stir it up and leave it to set. Yum yum |

| I just read that recipe (especially the reacts with acid part!) and thought it sounds like a disaster waiting to happen in my kitchen - id end up with honeycomb eyebrows and a ruined ceiling! Thanx for clearing up my confusion but, im now getting mental pictures of bee's hives and can see its not like a crunchie bar |
