I decided on Sunday that Tyler was only going to have his dummy during naps so once he puts it down I sneak it away (I can't bring myself to take it off him and have him crying though haha) anyway I take him to nursery without it and he's crying which is hard enough but at home he's normally ok until he remembers he doesn't have it and then he just has a sad distant look on his face like he's depressed about it I know Im doing the right thing, he has to give them up sooner rather than later and to be fair he's doing really well and hardly even notices he doesn't have it its just those little sad looks that break my heart

I know how you feel, Ive tried to cut down ava having hers and just keep it to naptimes, but she searches everywhere for it looking really glum. Its so tempting to give her it (sometimes I do!)

Aimee always had hers at naptimes and never inbetween.... until Lily came along! Then if she didnt have one that she could see, she would steal Lily's out of her mouth while she was sleeping. She rarely does use it, but she can see it. I do think I need to take it away again, but she will just start taking Lilys again when I do x

god I can't even think about getting it off him for naps bloody hell haha. it's only been a few days but his speech is improving and he has sort of stopped looking for it once it's gone (when he's at home anywya) but at nursery I guess it's a massive comfort to him. One bad thing about getting rid of it is that it makes him look more grown up lol
