| i have never really sold anything online but we are selling our tv and have put it on gumtree
its been on about 20 minutes and we have had a reply saying they work offshore but want the tv and will paypal the money now if somebody they know can come collect it....
is this a scam or what? i have no clue lol it seems weird! x |

| me either....
i know they can send 'fake' emails from paypal etc so would obviously go through the website to check money was in etc before letting it go... hmmm im not sure, might wait to see if we get any other offers...

| if i sell on gumtree or ebay for large items I ask for cash on collection. |

| Im not sure, but I have a feeling that if the money is sent through Paypal as a 'gift' they cant do a refund... so tell them to do that xx |

| I'd do cash only on collection hun..
never trust anyone with such a story.. they seem to love electricals!! mobiles & tvs well popular for such scams

| I agree cash on collection...simply because if they do a claim through paypal (thats what scammers do) then you wont stand a chance if they collected it as the only proof paypal accept is a signed for delivery! |

| have sent them a message stating will only accept cash on collection and funnily enough there was no reply lol!
