Ok its nothing exciting just working in greggs but its 16 hrs a week meaning i will come of IS and go onto WTC, and i will be working!!

Woohoo! Fingers crossed! Btw have you been on IS for 26 weeks? If so they will continue to pay full HB for 4 weeks and you are entitled to a one off payment of £250 for going back to work, its called a job grant and you automatically get it when you sign off.

Oh and ask about in work credit - its £40 a week on top of wages and TC payable for 1 year. It says on direct gov that you have to have been on IS for 52 weeks to qualify but im nearly sure that when I applied recently I ticked on the form that id been receiving IS for a minimum of 26 weeks, so it might have changed. I had to make an appointment to apply for this and the jobcentre didnt tell me I was eligible, so its worth asking about. x

Ah ok, im not entitled to any HB I think with my new pay/hrs but they still running it on for 4 weeks to tide me over.

The £250 jobbgrant is just for coming off IS and doesnt matter what TC/CB/HB you get so you should get that when you sign off.

Again the £40 a week in work credit doesnt matter if you get ful HB/WTC etc, just as long as your wage is less than £15k a year you get a top up for 1year of £40 payable every friday. Im gutted but my job only temporary and im only gona get about 12 weeks out of it.

You shouldnt feel bad but - you have 4 kids, thats 4 jobs already lol! I dont envy you with childcare, im lucky its hopefully gona be 1 24 hr shift a week & my mum & MIL can juggle Caitlin between themselves.

I feel the same but about self esteem/working. Im just peeved mines only temporary but when I have a newborn it'l be just like being on mat leave I guess... without the maternity pay or allowance as Im not entitled. Oh well, save save save!
