I'm having some pains but I don't know whether to ring Matt or family yet. I've been having loads of braxton hicks for the last week so I don't know if it's just them. Feels a bit more painful/uncomfortable than BH but still not actually that painful. Arrrghh how do I know apart from waiting it out? I wish labour just had a clear date and time!

do u have to stop and breathe through them ? I would say start ringing just so ppl are aware that they could get the call any time soon

Are they regular? The only way I knew with Dexter was because they were regular, every 5 mins. Oooooo I hope this is the start!!! x

I Agree, if the pain stops you in your tracks then I would get prepared just in case. Just maybe ring matt and the person looking after Immy and give them a heads up

thanks ladies. I wouldn't say stop and breathe through but it is more painful thanusual BH i've been having and it's more in my back than just tightening bump. As for regular, I haven't timed but i'd say roughly every 5mins. Might send out a casual text to Mum, Sis and Aunty saying it might happen today x

Ooo I would then hun, certainly sounds possible. Maybe give the labour ward a ring too just to see what they say, when I was like that they told me to go in as I had to travel about 15 miles in notoriously crappy traffic. xx

Well bloody typical after I wrote all that, the pains stopped! This baby likes to tease me. I realy hope something happens today though. One week to wait was fine but I'm getting impatient and uncomfortable now. x

Aww no!!!! Really hope it happens soon hun, cant imagine how fed up you are (I've never got to due date).



I'm guessing you've tried the long walks etc. to try and get it going?

Off to midwife appointment later so maybe the walk then will trigger something, if not i'll be discussing sweep and induction anyway so thats something.

OOh just had another pain. think it's going to be like this all day.. random pains

Well if you're getting the pains hopefully the walk will push it along a bit - it certainly worked for me.

you could ask the MW to check you when you get there. she may be able to tell you if your cervix is ready.

it sounds like things are starting though, just slowly. i'd send that text anyway as mine were all over the place then suddenly they weren't and i got there very quick ( was never examined either it was that quick)

Well sent a text out, so people are aware it could happen.
Will see if mw will exam me, she's generally so laid back she barely does any checks so not too hopeful, i think they make you go to day unit for anything like that.

Still getting pains on and off so thinking it might be slow labour, had that with Immi for 5days
