Is it really much quicker? Birth stories I've heard recently seem to be 1hr labours which is good I guess but I'm starting to worry about finding someone in time to look after Immi and then what if I end up having bubs at home cause I don't get to hospital in time. My labour with Imogen from plug/show thingy going and first contractions (which were 5mins apart) was 23hours so I'm thinking maybe it might be shorter but probably won't be an hour... right?!

So those that have been through labour twice (or more), how long was your second compared to first?

Second was easier. I had contractions all day. Went to the hospital at just after nine and h was born at 10 ish. The pushing for me was quicker. Worst comes to it immi goes with you. The nurses will mind her. Try not to worry yourself. My first labour was about 30 hours and a lot harder. But I had a year between mine so I think my body was use to it :-) a lot of peoples second labours are quicker I think. How exciting you're nearly there! All these babies x

Tommy from first little twinge to delivery was probably about 20 hours, Charlie from first twinge to birth was about 9-10 hours. But it's really so different from woman to woman. I wouldn't panic too much Hun chances are you'll know in enough time!
If it's in the next couple of days I can help with immy in emergencies x

Hmm I think you remember mine was quick. Started getting regular contractions around 4:30pm was in pain from the contractions from 6:45 and made it to the hospital at 7:30pm and had her 22 minutes later. So was about 3 hours in total. As soon as you fel the cOntractions start call someone even if they are not regular as your overdue now so it's not likely to be a false start now

Thanks for replying ladies. Think I better just call someone as soon as I start feeling any contraction like pains and hope they get here in time.
