| a place near me will do dating/early scans from 8weeks, for £65
would you have one? i never had one with my other two but i keep getting the niggling feeling that something is 'wrong' in this pregnancy...but then i tell myself i'm just being stupid as i have no signs that anything might be wrong
sam says if i want one then go ahead, but would it just be a waste of money?? |

| If you dont have any signs of anything wrong i wouldnt and i would save the money for a 3D scan, unless Sam says you can have both then go for it lol x |

| I had one and it was well worth the peace of mind. I had bleeding and discharge but had an nhs scan at 6 weeks and they told me not to worry. Didn't stop me though and had a private scan at 9 weeks after ending up on the bedroom floor in tears because I was sure the baby was dead |

| If youve not had any other signs/symptoms I would wait and hold off. With my last pregnancy I just knew something was going to go wrong even before the bleeding but I started bleeding at 5+wks and I knew deep down in my heart it was ectopic even before I was officially diagnosed.
If you haven't had any unusual symptoms or bleeding I wouldn't personally, but if you feel your not goin to settle without one go for it just for piece of mind. By the sounds of it though things sound like they are going in the right direction especially with the sickness yesterday. Xx |

| It's tempting but personally i would save the money. My aunty had an early scan cause she thought something was wrong and she actually said it was worse as she miscarried 2days later and found it more heartbreaking because she had seen the heartbeat and got pics of baby. Not saying there is something wrong and you'll miscarry but just wanted to give another point of view. x |

| If we had the money and stuart agreed or if nhs offered I probably would have gone for it, so I understand your reasons for wanting one. However, being rational, £65 is a lot of money and it doesnt guarantee that you wont go on to mc (I understand but the risks are way lower once hb is detected). I just mean getting the scan doesnt change anything at all.
I agree if you were going to get a private scan you may be better waiting unitll 20+ weeks plus and getting a sexing scan (if they cant see at nhs scan), or saving it towards 3d at 30 wks.
Its a hard one, if you really are going to be driving yourself crazy for the next 5 weeks then get it, but tbh I dont think it really will make you relax. Even after my 11 week scan I worried something was wrong up until my 20 week scan... even now I get days were I worry baby hasnt moved much. Pg is one huge worry! x |

| ta girls....tbh the decision has been taken out of my hands now...we're too skint to afford it at mo!
am a little gutted as it'd be nice to see the baby, but with how sick i'm feeling all day every day i'd say things are headed in the right direction anyways! lol |

| i had my first mw appointment today, just going over some of the basics.
are you going to sort a MW app? the earlier you do it the better as you know how slow hospitals are for sorting scans out
have you considered paying to have a private early one chick?? can get them from 7weeks at some but 8weeks from the majority |

| 66 miles? wow that's a heck of a trek!!!
i know you've got reason not to be positive, but just in case things do go in the right direction you kinda need to have the health care you need chick x |
