today i noticed an odd sound coming from the car had a look and the fan belt is on its last leg so we went off 2 our mechanic and just in convo he said that he has a zafira 4 sale 4 £800 but as dave used to work 4 him, we always go 2 him 4 everything and he always does us a ffab job @ very good prices he would let us have it 4 £500 cash

Pros: its a bigger car, we have driven 1 and liked it, from a very well trusted mechanic, cheap



Cons: Its petrol, no air con, it guzzles fuel,

Eeeek no air con!! I wouldnt purely because of that. We had a 2005 Zafira, a 1.6 Life and it really did drink the petrol, and the tax was ridiculous - I'm sure it was £210 a year. I suppose like Kelly says it all depends on what you have now. x

Dave took the car down a lil while ago 2 get the fanbelt fixed!! Anywhay while he was there he looked over the car as its due its MOT next week or so and he said it would fail and cost about £250 total 2 get sorted inc mot!!!! He also said there was a small fault with the engine that cant b fixed but is not a problem u just need 2 keep the revs up when stationary!!!! He also said that we could probably sell our car now for about £550 esp with new tax n ticket

Sooo we gonna get it fixed and think about it some more but i dont think we will go 4 this 1 and put a bit extra 4 something thats we r gonna want to keep 4 a long time

I would leave it, and like you said save a bit and buy a really decent car you can have for a good few yrs.
