when we were on hols my sis was staying in my house looking after the cats. we have a new kitten so I decided last minute to have someone else look after him as he needs 4+ feeds a day and to be honest didnt really trust my sis with the 2 feeds my older cat needs. so asked a vet student (final year) from my work to have the baby.

so I set aside 14 meals for my older cat. in little bags and told her one meal in the morning and one at night and he will let you know when hes hungry - simples right? got home and less than half the bags were used. my poor puss. she said she had to go home one night because the cat was driving her nuts when she was trying to sleep. er? yeh because the poor boy was starving.

then get my little one back and the girl who was looking after him says he was brilliant then goes on to say
- he loves kfc by the way (hes 11 weeks old)
- we spilled honey mustard on him so thats what the smell is
- we stood on him 3 times
can kinda see the funny side as im sure she was only (half) joking and he was well fed and looked after so cant complain really. and id rather he was fed anything than nothing at all.

but for heavens sake can I not trust 2 grown adults - 3 if you include my mum coming in twice a day to feed a bloody cat and not feed him takeaways

argh!

Awww Hun, I'm glad we got my dad for that couldn't trust anyone else to be honest.

But don't blame you about putting them in cattery.

I know what you mean. We left our 2 with my daughter and the promise from my parents that when Charlotte was working they'd call up and feed them. But when I came home there's too much food over so I know the poor little girls have been starved!!

I've used a cattery before, and although they fell out with me, they did get over it and it gives you peace of mind.
