| Dexter eats LOADS, on a typical day (yesterday) he had:
woke up, had milk (breast milk) from both sides
for breakfast he had probably the equivalent of 2 petit filous sized pots (I use this as a guide) of pureed apple mixed into baby porridge, followed by milk
then for lunch he had broccoli and cauliflower cheese (probs 1.5 pots) then half a pot of the left over apple, followed by breast milk
another load of breast milk mid afternoon
for dinner pureed butternut squash, carrot and sweet potato (probs the equivalent of 2 pots again) followed by a yogurt
then breast milk before bed
he is a big boy - not sure on weight as its been a few weeks but easily in 6-9 month clothes now
Does this sound too much? I'm sure Libby wasnt eating nearly half as much at this but then she was never a big eater. |

| sounds about right to me eli started weaning a little bit later but he got up to that much very quickly - its not until recently that he has started shooting up heightwise so im not concerned at all - i used to worry that he ate too much, but im sure now that they will just eat as much as they need, growing is hard work!! maybe it just seems strange because as you say libby was never into her food |

| Thanks Mari, its just so strange as even when hes had his food he'll want ours too, I'm not used to it at all - it wouldnt surprise me if he ate more than Libby does now |

| haha elijah went through a phase just around his 1st birthday where im sure he ate more than us, he would finish everything in sight then be after whatever we had and follow us around like a starved puppy its good though, i dont think they can eat too much at that age |

| Well today has been very similar except he also munched on a rusk while we were eating dinner (his first time and he LOVED it), he still wanted some of my strawberry mousse though I suppose if I'm sharing my food it's less that I'm eating so I might actually lose some weight I was initially worried about him not having enough milk if I put him on 3 'solid' meals a day but he's still having at least 5 feeds a day so I'm pleased with that. Just need to get used to having a good eater, he might even coax Libby into eating more |

| I couldnt tell you Awen probably would eat that much if she was on puree but she tends to just pick and chew stuff so its variable. She did eat half a slice of mashed banana on toast yesterday which seemed impressive! |

| Amelia has a rusk with milk and a yoghurt or porridge with milk and a yoghurt for breakfast
A jar and a yoghurt for dinner
a jar and a yoghurt for tea.
She also has a snack of mashed avacado and milk between breakfast and dinner.
Were high calorie weaning because of her being prem and the yoghurts the easiest way to get them into he because she loves them.
She also has 6 feeds of 6 oz a day. My girl loves her food lol |
