Me and the girls ended up going conker picking earlier and came home with 2 pockets full of them does anyone know what we can do with them? I was guna paint them but need glue to mix with pain as not working with normal pain what else can I do with them?

The usual is to roast them and play conkers lol

Thread string through them and teach the girls how to conker fight...... Or is that politically incorrect these days???

Yeh I can imagine I'd end up with a black eye if I played conkers with the thugbug also known as Izzy!

Well apparently conkers are supposed to keep spiders away, there's something in their smell that repels them, so if you put them around the house in bowls it deters them. This could be an old wives tale of course, but there is horse chestnut extract in spider repellent so it might be true.

My mum swears by the conkers keeping spiders away! she puts them in the corners of every room!
