| Hubby's aunty's new partner has twin girls and they will be 9 this week. I'm going to get them a pressie and card this week but following a family discussion before, would you buy them each a card or a joint card? I was planning on buying them one each but my sil said she's buying a joint one and seemed to think me buying one each was funny I just think that they are individuals and would want their own card but she sees them as a pair and said it would be like buying a couple a separate card each at Christmas. They are the sort of twins who are very individual but do like to dress the same quite often if that helps! I'm confused! xx |

| Ooooh tricky one. Go with your instinct I think, until you get to know them better. Personally I think they are 2 separate people. My aunt and uncle (husband and wife) were born on the same day (nothing dodgy, just coincidence lol) and they each get a separate birthday card from me, but a joint xmas card. I never thought about it before but I figure that you send xmas cards as a family group because everyone celebrates xmas together, whereas birthdays are individual things. I wonder if we'd be having this conversation if one twin was born at 11.55 and one at 00.05 the next day. Hmmmm....... |

| i would get a separate card for their birthday and christmas...they are two separate people. i kind of think its different to a married couple (who would just get one card) because its not like they chose to be put together! they are two people as you say and i think they would appreciate separate things, especially as they get older if they were your sisters you wouldn't tell people you only had one sister because they happened to be born on the same day! |

| I'd get one each. If they happened to be siblings born on the same day but different ages you'd get one each so I don't really see how it's different. It always winds me up when people lump twins together |

| I'd definitely get one each. If I were a twin I'd be proper pissed off if people bought us a joint card. I honestly think it's a definite no no to buy them a joint card. |

| I don't know why but I find that quite horrible . How is comparing a coue to twins the same.
I'd get them one each they are two people not one person.
I think it's unfair they be seen as a couple |

| I'd get them one each too - there is no way that could upset them ...but getting one between could!
I think its quite unfair tbh to treat twins differently...kinda lazy! Also a bit like poor kids born near xmas get one present...that is so tight! |

| I'm so glad you all think the same as me! The way the family was carrying on made me sound like I was really odd! I think I'd be really annoyed to be treated as one person if I was a twin. I'll get them separate cards then thanks ladies xxx |
