Well, after all the prep and planning the greyhound didnt work out living with us Sad , she went for Isla on the head, and generally was so timid that she was terrified of everything, to the point where she was bordering aggressive......if i didnt have children I wouldve definately worked with her because she was so beautiful, and had great potential.

So, it was back to the drawingboard for us....we decided that even though it would be hard work, it would be better for the family to have a young dog grow up with us.

WE BOUGHT A PUPPY RUSSELL

He is 11.5 weeks old, and all white except for one spot on his head....I wanted to call him spot ****cant imagine why**** but chris wanted Jasper......so for the time being (lol) Jasper it is Laughing

He is doing really well, we have him walking pretty good on a lead, then he has a big sleep because hes so whacked out! He cries for about half an hour a bed, then goes to sleep (hmmmm, this needs work, any ideas???)

He went out on his own this morning for a wee, so its starting to click where he has to go (although if were not watching him like a hawk, then the rug is his fave spot, new one needed once trained i think)

Hes great with our pug, and the kids adore him.....long may this rein (im rather taken by him too My doggy situation 270211 )

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww how cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With regards to the crying, when we got our dog she would cry at night too but it didnt last too long (sorry cant remember how long), the best thing to do is leave him - if you keep going to him he'll get used to it.

Where does he go at night/what does he sleep in? Lulu had a dog crate and that was an absolutely life saver for us, and she loved it (as soon as we got up to go to bed she would take herself off in there for the night), she NEVER messed in it either as they dont usually like to mess where they sleep, so definately highly recommended
