ELC sent me a text to say 'pleased to advise you that your delivery (xmas gifts for Izzy) has just been delivered' at 10.58 this morning!

Ermmmm nope i haven't had it :-( I've checked outside too and nothing there

Crap day for banks and couriers! Laughing

OMG I am mad now! ELC say Yodel (the courier) have given the name that signed for it as Marshall - there are no Marshalls next to me and I've been in all day!

I have to ring back in 2 hours to see what the courier says about wher they left it

BUT why has someone signed for an BIG Elc package that isn't theirs?! AND why did the courier give it to them?!

Ive checked 192 and there is someone with that name half way down the road along from me, that's not even the same road name!

I've sent Dan to the house on the other road to see of they have it - if they have then they are ejits cos they clearly don't know where my house is, otherwise they'd have told the courier - so what good was them taking it in?!

Arghhhh its really wound me up Laughing

No, she was an old bidder who was quite abrupt and said she did have a delivery this morning but it was a pair of shoes .... hmmmmm

Anyway I have to ring ELC back at 7.45 to find out what the driver says...but that was the only marshall I could find in 192 anywhere near me so they must be ex directory

Thing is if you were signing for a package that wasn't addressed to you - and you didn't know where the house was (I know the courier didn't come here cos Ive been in all day and was sat on the sofa at 11am!) - you clearly had it in mind to keep the box?! Why take it otherwise?! So maybe they didn't even sign their real name!
Also if they had any intention of bringing it to me they'd have been by now!!

Hmmm reckon its been nicked and I will have to wait for ELC to sort it out :-(

OH dear! The courier driver doesn't remember where he delivered it - so clearly made no note as to where he has taken it and is apparently coming back tomorrow to 'recall' where he did take it and go back to that house and ask for the package back!

Shocked

Sounds a little bit suspect to me. I bet he 'cant' remember tomorrow.

I hope they have more in stock and manage to get you another one (I assume its the Happyland cottage and horse trailer?) x

Yes it was that Laura plus the fairy tail playmat and a princess reward chart which she was looking forward to getting (the happyland is xmas so she doesn't know about them!)

Thankfully they are still both in stock online so worst scenario they will have to send out again and someone has got away with over £60 of toys!

That is so irritating! I hope they sort it, if not at least they have more online. We got the cottage and horse box today for Lily for her birthday (from my mum). I also picked up the Toadstool Happyland thing that I had reserved for her. They are huge boxes, so there is no way he could forget where he delivered it x

Yeh I thought they'd be quite big boxes

The person he has taken it to is going to get a hell of a shock when he goes back...imagine if they've opened it and helped themselves....oh the shame of being caught...unless they have serious balls and stand there and tell him he never delivered it to them!!

WTF are ELC playing at. I had a delivery from them today. Been in all day and been quiet yet Dave came to pick Amelia up and he had my big box in his arms and said it was on the door step! Not happy at all as anyone could and probably would have walked off with it. It was obvious we were in as the TV was on, light on, blinds drawn, car on the drive. So pissed off. Hope they get it sorted asap for you Lisa x

Yodel is the courier they use Lisa - email a complaint off to them!!! OR ring ELC and say you've not had it (naughty I know!) and and who has signed for it!!!!! If Yodel get enough 'lost packages' they might clamp down on crappy drivers!

My Royal Mail parcel man usually puts my parcels in the garage but yesterday I got home (been away all day) and there was a big blue bag on the doorstep...like you say anyone could have taken it too - luckily my front door is slightly hidden off the road but ermmmm yours isn't so why would they think its safe?!

That happened to me once with Mothercare and Harry's pushchair, somebody called Brown signed for the parcel, there was nobody called Brown down my street. It turned out that the delivery driver signed for it and took it home with him cos we weren't in Shocked WHY? lol it was so random. x

Flip, hope you get it back! I hate waiting for parcels but usually because you have to hang about waiting for them, never imagined they would just drop them off at a random house.

A friend of mine, who erm may read this lol, ordered stuff online recently and it didnt arrive so she phoned the company and they couldnt even track the parcel properly so they arranged to send her out replacement items and credit her account with store points as an apology for her wasting the day at home/items being late. The next day items arrived and she signed for them, only realising after it was the original order. Then she was out for the day soon after and the 2nd order was left on her back door step - the courrier didnt even get a signature. She was a bit naughty and kept both the orders lol. Bit dif but as thats the companys fault and she didnt take off a neighbour... just shows but that courriers dont always get signatures!

Well its been located...ONLY because the place it was dropped off at rang up ELC - the couriers didn't have a clue where it was!

The courier delivered it to the Royal British Legion Charity shop in the town centre - I assume he had other stuff for them and they signed for it all - which is maybe why he had no idea where he had taken my parcel

Thank goodness the people at the charity shop are honest!!
