Yeah Char, Matt came with me last year and we brought Imogen. I was unsure about whether i'd stay out as long as the others cause I was pregnant so Matt said he'd come then he'd be there if I needed to leave the group. He must have enjoyed it though as when I mentioned we were planning another night out he said ooh fun, where we going? I was like you want to come?? and he said yeah it was loads of fun last year a random weekend away. |

And Char you can come up in the car with me if you like |

| I'll probably take a raincheck for Birmingham, its just a bit too far for one night , understand its the most central though x |

| I will see if I can come, but im not sure if I can do June (stag and hen weekends booked and James's birthday & fathers day... sigh).
Just to remind peeps, 4th and 5th June are bank holidays, so all of that week is half term.
Also, dont forget that fathers day is on Sunday 17th June.

| maybe after the next one we make it a bit more north or more south. then alternate, then that way more people who can not go then can and vise versa, it may mean that some will say they then cant go but then it's fair for everyone |

| I agree Kel, I think it should be one year northern, and the next southern to try and give as many people as poss the opportunity to go at a reasonable price. Even if that means people may only get to go every other year (or more if you can afford it!)
Even though Birmingham is central, its still flippin expensive for some people. |

| I don't think I will go if it's Birmingham again, it's too far and I couldn't really drink as I had to drive home and it's a long way |

| The problem with doing 'north one year, south the next' is that is will automatically exclude a lot of people cos it would just be crazy distance from south to north...so would only appeal to half the forum
At least when its central everyone whether north, south, east or west has a maximum drive of about the same ...
If people want to organise other north/south nights out then thats fine of course but I don't think the central one should be effected, regardless of them going on. |

| see the thing is Lisa it already does exclude a lot of people. and it hardly seems fair that those more south or north have to pay quite a bit of money if they want to go. but then those that live near Birmingham are going to have the option to go every time as its cheaper for them.
i really want to go but i'm still in two minds as its so far and a lot of money.
some members are traveling for up to 5-7 hours and thought it only fair on everyone that the venue be moved every year, it very much feels like that its staying where it is and its not going to be moved and that's that.
there could be more nights out yes but then that beats the object of us all having a night out together.
i just feel its not fair to everyone if it is held in the same sort of area every year |

| Thats fine kelly...so why not organise ones north / south too?
If it's north - south alternating then it won't be a 'night out together' any more than the central one?
Logically thinking a northern or southern meet will always exclude more than a central meet will, so a central meet allows more people to go.
Believe me I've tried to organise loads of get to togethers, and the best location is always central, going too far south or too far north and it ends up not as many people want to go/can't go.
I'm not trying to be mean, all I'm saying is I'm organising a central meet, but that doesnt mean other meets cant be oganised by others |

| It's absolutely impossible to please all of the pandas all of the time but Birmingham does appear to be the majority's preferred venue. Where ever it is it's going to exclude someone. Looking at the poll, no one has ticked none of the above places.
I think it's a good idea to change the venue every year but I doubt as many people would go!

| I understand just wanted to get my point across.
I don't know if I'm even coming ascross how I meant but if it's always central then the same people would also go like if it was always south if that makes sense.
I'll leave it at that was just an idea to include everyone |
