Alfie's sleeping out tonight for the first time since july. I know it seems a bit silly, but since he was 6 weeks old he slept out every week. He always loved sleeping out, settled really well and it helped to really bond my family with him (he either stays at my mam's or my aunty's who is like my second mam i see her every day). But then from turning one he started to get harder to settle and the last time he slept out which was beginning of july he didn't go to sleep till half ten and was up crying most of the night. So since then we kinda decided unless there was a good reason for him to sleep out he would just stay at home and we would alternate childcare. But wat i don't want is for him to not be used to going to grandma's to sleep every so often. I loved it when i was younger and i used to get so excited about sleeping out, staying up late and eating a fish supper. Plus it means me and gav get to spend some time together which has always been important to us. Now i dunno whether it was cos he was just going through a clingy stage-plus he was teething but i'm getting nervous for tonight in case he won't settle and misses us loads. Plus he hasn't been well with croup altho he's practically all better now and is sleeping 12hrs again. Anyway sorry for the rant i'm just a bit nervous that's all lol x

I'm sure he'll be fine hun, and if not then maybe try putting him to bed at your mums house a few times so he gets used to the surroundings again? x

Have you had a 'report' yet? Lol, my mum used to give me a report when Oliver had settled and gone to sleep, which was only ever half hour later than he usually does Smile

I hope he does settle and gets back into that routine again.

Arwyn always sleeps all night for about 12 hours for Granny (my mum) but only once in a blue moon will sleep right through for us. I think I might send her to live with Granny....

He was fine! They took him for a nice long walk along the beach before bed and he slept from 7.45-8.15 this morning. Good as gold!x

Jamie's like this with my Mum. Still doesn't sleep through (unless he did last night) but it always much better. Mind you it may well be the formula

Glad it went well Amy. Its much better when you can have a break from them occasionally
