if i can trade in my laptop if i buy a new one?
I think something has broken where you connect the power lead to laptop as its not charging properly, have to fiddle with it for ages. Me and Matt are not sure whether to get it fixed or get a new one. I'm sure when we asked before about getting it fixed it was £60 to send it off then whatever on top to fix it. So we're thinking about going to pc world and getting a buy now buy later deal, as we did that before and paid off a little a month which worked out well, just thinking it would be good to trade it in and get some money back though. Or do I just try and sell it off on ebay?

I dunno, but Lottie ran past our old laptop and it landed on the floor of the power cable input bit. We took it to a local PC repair man and it only cost £50 and we had it back the same day.

Oh really. I guess for that price it would be worth fixing. Last time we had a similar problem but much much worse and were told to just get a new one, but this is deff not as bad so hmm will have to think

silly question maybe but i was having to fiddle with my cable , turned out i had been careless with my charger and got a new charger and it works great

Interesting, maybe I should try that. the charger does seem ok tho. I figured something in the laptop had broken as Immi is always pulling the cable in and shoving it back in not very gentley

i was forever pulling and straining my charger ( im on my third charger now ) ,,i have had to move my sofa in living room to my cable runs a different way or OH refuses me getting another charger :0 )

braden and dita always pull the cable in and out mine and it stopped working unless i fiddled with it, so i tried a new power lead cos they are only like 4-5quid off ebay even tho we thought it would be the actual laptop and it worked fine so i would deff recommend trying a new power lead x

Yea i.would try a.new cable.hun. Im always.going through phone.chargers like no tomorrow. once i thought it was.my phone, stormed into t.mobile demanding that it was fixed and the.girl plunged in a charger.n it worked fine x

Is it a Sony Vaio? Mine is and so is James's and that has happened on both of ours.

The round plastic pin thing has come out from the laptop bit so there are just two pin type things left to connect to the power plug thingy. I just squeeze the two prongs (inside the lappy) together with tweezers every now and again and it carries on charging.

Incase its not the charger and you do end up buying a new one..

I went to either currys or PC world 6-7 mths ago to get this laptop with the intention of doing a buy now pay later thing. In the end I didnt because not only did they not have a pay later option but repayments started immediately and the interest was something stupid like 19% APR. Even the sales guy said to check what the interest was on my credit card as it may work out cheaper to stick it on that as interest rate may only be 17% and I have the option of making bigger payments/clearing it a lil sooner if I could.

In the end Stu took pity on me and bought me it as a combined mothers day and bday present

Weird. I got the last laptop from pc world and I'd buy now pay later. It was 18months I think till the payments started at ridiculous interest so I just paid it off slowly in that 18months so I never paid more than it was worth. Maybe they don't do it anymore..?

I would try a charger first aswell mine did that where calluim kept pulling it and i use to have to twiddle it to work until it stopped working i brought a new one of amazon and now works fine xx
