| we never had christmas stockings as children and want to get elijah (and me!) one this year - i was going to last year but by the time i got round to it we were snowed in the only place i can find nice ones is mamas and papas and john lewis...i want kind of plainish ones (like this [Only admins are allowed to see this link] or [Only admins are allowed to see this link] ) any suggestions where else i could look? i want one for elijah, for me and for daddy - they all have to be different cos it occured to me if we got the same then had another baby it would be hard to explain |

| Heres a few places i remember seeing them last year..
Mothercare, Matalan, Primark, Peacocks...
Or you can always get really cheap ones in those christmas shops they set up around this time. I got Matt a christmas sack from one of those places and it still looks good 5 years later, was only £1 |

| Yeh will do in a bit (the one Ive finished is tiny xmas parcels with a red top)
buts its in the depths of my cupboard with the other stock, so will root it out in a bit..I think it measures about 45cm long...but can be made any size tbh They are quilted (padded) so nice and soft That size would be £12 posted (if designer fabric on the outside)...tbh there is no point poutting anything other than plain on the inside as it doesn't really get seen |

| haha im actually thinking of it babymilly, we have a sewing machine i can probably remember how to use (umm maybe)
i thought maybe having red felt on the outside and the christmassy cotton material on the inside, but folding the patterned cloth over the top (where you would normally have a snowy white felt border) so it cheers the red up....
can't be that bloody hard to make a stocking!!!! (im genuinly laughing out loud...) |

| We've just got a big sack for Jamie. Me and Adam have little ones from last year (if I can get to them - they've at the back of the cupboard and there's a lot of stuff in there) to encourage us to spend less on each other |

| hmmmmmm not going to bother with a sack (in fact, i don't think we are going to give elijah everything he has on christmas day), but i do want stockings to hang above the fire cos i think it looks so lovely hanging sacks there would definitely be a fire hazard!!! |
