if ur child is being bullied/picked on at school?

It is so out of character for Jaiden to b nasty 2 other kids he is usually so caring and just wondered if he was provoked at school thats y he lashed out and pushed and could explain his behaviour at home

I love my boy so much and am really so upset right now about everything

but dont know what to think or what to do ....... Y dont they come with instructions :/

I think it could explain it...I think the best thing you can do is ask the teachers/play assistants to keep an eye out for changes in his behaviour at school...if there is something going on (and bullying can be very subtle and not obvious if you aren't looking) they will hopefully spot it quite soon.


It's awful to say, but I think you'd probably rather have a reason for it, at least you can try and help him then...rather than finding there is no reason for his actions and he is just being bloody naughty!

thanx Lisa I was also getting really upset at the thought of us "punishing him" for his naughty behaviour when it could be down 2 him being picked on Im just sitting here half in tears I just want 2 go and get him and talk 2 him about it all feel so bad and helpless and just want him 2 b ok

aww tara don't feel bad.. you still dont know if he was just being naughty!
BUT yeh if the poor button is hitting out cos he is feeling bullied it wouldn't be right to carry on...but at least you are trying to find a reason instead of just accepting it!

i feel rotten and in tears coz of just simply for the not knowing y he has been like this and its just so unlike him 2 hit out Him and sophia wind eachother up but as for pushing and shoving no not really so it really makes me think something deeper is at foot and y havent i noticed it b4 Ill b talking 2 the teacher when i go get him see what the pushing incident was all about and what happened coz im not happy with them saying that he just randomly went up to a child and pushed them no way thats not my boy

it may be quite harsh but i think he need punishing wether theres a reason or not, maybe not harsh punishment but they kind of need to know that bad behaviour gets punishment no matter what.

Letting him off cos of there being a reason could maybe make him think to lie in the future and say theres a reason for something he does wrong just because he knows he will get off? Hopefully he wont be like that but if you just give him a small punishment then he will know wrong is wrong.

You need to know why he did it but I think you also need to show it's not acceptable either

He could be the fact he's missing you all and doesn't want you to know so he's acting out, I know if rich is nervous or upset he always gets angry first.

I'd sit him down and have a general chat, or find a book about bullies and see if he says anything, I've always found a book with an issue helps to start the talking, your local library will have a list of them for you to choose from
